Catalog description

This course introduces central concepts in Organizational Theory. Organization theory aims to explain the origins, persistence, and disappearance of organizations central to our society (e.g., firms, markets, governments, nonprofit organizations, and more). This course's main objective is to create a forum to discuss and develop an understanding of the different strategies organizational theorists use to explain organizational pro cesses, develop theories, and make these theories as convincing as possible. Additionally, this course provides students with a roadmap that enables them to navigate the terrain of organizational theory and helps them generate original research ideas.
