Catalog description
This course is based on the discussion of clinical procedures in Computerized Tomography (CT Scan) studies. In it, the tracking techniques used to demonstrate anatomical and pathological areas are analyzed. The operation of the basic equipment, parameters, positions, procedures used to develop a quality study and the techniques to minimize artifacts are discussed. Education and interaction with the patient are included, precautions in the administration of contrast medium, safety and radiological dose are also part of the course. Emphasis on the development of knowledge, skills and critical thinking skills, through the analysis of clinical situations or cases, wh ich allow the student to evaluate and propose solutions to them. In addition, the development of skills related to ethics and diversity, new technologies and communication is facilitated. One semester, Two (2) hours per week. 2 credits
