MAGNETIC RESONANCE PHYSICS
Sistema Universitario Ana G. Mendez · UGRD · Fall 2026
Catalog description
This course is designed to provide students with the basic knowledge of physics and the resources used for magnetic resonance imaging. Emphasis will be placed on the interaction of electromagnetic waves and magnetic fields used for the creation of the digital image. In addition to the basics of MRI, pulse sequences, magnetic field relaxation times, and contrast medium are discussed. Emphasis will be placed on the development of knowledge, skills and critical thinking skills, so that the student can use physical and scientific concepts to create, evaluate and propose solutions when creating a magnetic resonance image in addition, development is facilitated of competencies related to information skills, with new technologies and quantitative reasoning. One semester, 2 hours a week 2 credits
