Catalog description

The main purpose of this course is to train the graduate student in psychology with methods for the analysis and construction of items, to estimate reliability, validity and standardization of tests. The course offers a broad perspective of different techniques and instruments used in the field, as well as an overview of i ts historical development. The class will discuss some of the most commonly used psychological instruments, as well as analysis of the ethical and social controversies of psychological testing in Puerto Rico.
