Catalog description

This course offers a description of the literary genres and the characteristics of the traditional and current short-story, developing in the students their information skills competency. Students will have the opportunity to identify traditional children literary works and their socio-cultural impact, considering the development of ethics and diversity competencies. In addition, they will be able to distinguish the characteristics of children literature suitable for early childhood, demonstrating their critical thinking competency at a developmental level, by classifying different titles of children books according to their age. It includes the application of different pedagogical strategies to integrate the teaching of children's literature into the curriculum, promoting in future teachers the development of innovation and service-oriented competencies. Finally, the student will be prepared to plan educational experiences that develop expression and communication through children literature, demonstrating t heir development in communication and technological competencies.
