Catalog description
In this course students will develop basic communication, assertiveness, and influence skills, as well as an attitude of service and commitment to the negotiated solution of conflicts and to mediation. This course includes concepts on conflict resolution, relevant legislation, communication skills and aspects of Intervention in situations related to the working environment a nd the work of justice professionals. Practice activities provide hands on experience on the elements and perceptions of the conflict, according to each stakeholder, identifying their attitudes, positions, interests, needs, polarization, and power. Student s will develop assertiveness and communication skills, such as active listening, verbal and nonverbal language and the Halo effect. .
