The Capstone Project in Physical Therapy is a significant milestone in the Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program, designed to integrate deep reflection of clinical competence with the relevance of professional formation as a UAGM DPT graduate. This expe rience empowers students to demonstrate proficiency as master adaptive learners able to successfully collaborate in primary health care teams to offer quality client patient centered care that can foster improved health within communities. Students will curate a professional portfolio and defend their growth and achievement of the DPT program student learning outcomes. This portfolio can leverage employment opportunities as students illustrate their value as movement science experts who are proficient and well -rounded physical therapists ready for practice in a direct access primary care environment. Students will undergo the PEAT examination to further validate their readiness to sit for their licensure examinations as physical therapists.
