Catalog description

Study of the main topics related to gym management and supervision: budget, marketing, hiring, organizational structure and evaluation of facilities, maintenance, legal aspects, safety, well -being, physical and sports training. Contextualization of the issues using Puerto Rico as the main setting, while at the same time considering their global aspect. Emphasis on the development of knowledge, skills and critical thinking skills, through the analysis of current administrative problems, which allow the student to evaluate and propose solutions to them based on knowledge of quantitative reasoning, communication, ethics and diversity. In addition, the development of competencies related to scientific research and new technologies related to the innovation of th e habilitation and operation of gyms is facilitated.
