Catalog description

This course presents a variety of theories and perspectives arising from differences in race, culture, religion, gender, age, and other characteristics related to diversity in a work environment. Students will understand how these dimensions affect the performance, motivation, productivity, and success of organizations. It will be discussed how to face and change discriminatory pract ices within the organization such as: stereotypes, prejudices, perceptions and other beliefs that present barriers to achieve the competitiveness of individuals and organizations. The course emphasizes and presents alternatives to avoid possible discriminatory actions by employers.
