INTEGRATIVE SEMINAR: VULNERABLE POPULATIONS

Catalog description
During this course, the student has the opportunity to present and discuss his/her experiences during his/her practice of changing and obtaining research data in search of innovative strategies to solve specific health problems of the vulnerable population selected by the student. The vulnerable population selected by the student will be mutually agreed upon by the director or academic advisor of the program. Students are expected to share their experiences and how they are developing the nursing model during the seminar in the midst of a discussion with their peers and the course professor within a commitment to confidentiality, teaching ability, and integrity. During this seminar, alternatives will be provided to collect information in their interaction with vulnerable populations or other ways to apply nursing models to solve health problems. It facilitates the development of care guidelines related to prevention and health promotion, quality and safety improvement, advanced care for vulnerable groups, public health policy, and leadership and professionalism. It requires 30 hours of theory.
