DEVELOPMENT OF NURSING KNOWLEDGE

Catalog description

This course examines the development of theory, philosophical research and ways of organizing nursing knowledge. This course provides for students to understand the development and growth of substantive knowledge in nursing. The attention is directed to mid -range theories for the development of concepts and theoretical tests in nursing research to understand the state of health and health outcomes for individuals, families and community primary care that may be at risk. It facilitates the development of competencies related advance knowledge for nursing science, prevention and health promotion, quality improvement and safety, and advanced care for vulnerable groups.
