Catalog description

This is the third of a four -course series on Botanical Medicine. These courses are designed to prepare students in the clinical use of medicinal plants in the practice of naturopathic medicine. The traditional, historical, and scientific use of medicinal plants is explained. Students are encouraged to develop an appreciation for medicinal plants. The course covers the Materia Medica of plants used for support and treatment of nervous system, dermatol ogical, gynecological, male reproductive system, and cardiovascular conditions. Medicinal plants used for first aid are also covered.
