KINEMATICS OF MECHANISMS
Sistema Universitario Ana G. Mendez · UGRD · Fall 2026
1 section
Catalog description
In this course, students will develop critical thinking and quantitative reasoning skills to solve the forward kinematics problem for mechanisms commonly used in practice, such as four bar linkages, crank-sliders, gears, and cams (among others), using graphical and computational techniques to make engineering decisions based on the results. These analytical methodologies will also be used along with scientific reasoning to design mechanisms that meet predefined kinematic criteria to solve real-world problems.
