Catalog description
This course provides basic knowledge in the area of human resources necessary by any administrator, including the primary functions of a manager or personnel officer. The course includes aspects related to recruitment and selection, orientation and training and evaluation of personnel. It also covers the importance of motivation and leadership, occupational health and safety laws, equality in employment and employer relations, among other issues. Emphasis is placed on the development of critical thinking knowledge, skills and abilities, through cooperative learning, oral presentations and case evaluation, in order to a llow the student to contribute effectively to human resources issues in a small business. In addition, ethics and diversity competencies are developed.
