All students will be required to take part in a professional internship that employs a wide range of skills and knowledge developed in this degree program. Each student will work with a department advisor to realize the potential of this experience fully. LAND 100 LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTURE DESIGN I: DESIGN PRINCIPLES AND LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTURE COMMUNICATION 3 CREDITS This course offers an introductory overview to the fundamental principles, processes, and, techniques crucial to landscape architecture practice. Emphasizing conceptual and residential projects, the course integrates theoretical study with hands-on design tasks. Students will gain a deep understanding of design thinking, site analysis, concept development, and design communication. The course enhances technical skills in hand drawing, including sketches, renderings, drafting, axonometric views, perspectives, elevations, sections, plans, and, other relevant methods and resources. LAND 101 LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTURE DESIGN II: PLANTING DESIGN, RESIDENTIAL, AND SMALL -SCALE PROJECTS 3 CREDITS This course focuses on topics related to the design of residential and small -scale projects, and general planning. It also makes a detailed evaluation of the vegetative and architectural materials, and the freehand graphic presentation. Through hands-on projects, students will develop competencies in technology, critical thinking, design, and technical aspects of the profession.
