Catalog description

This course focuses on key engineering management functions, providing conceptual frameworks that an engineer needs in order to transition to a management position. The system approach, orientation to business applications, the integration of multiple knowledge domains, and value creation perspectives traverse the content to be covered. Students will develop knowledge about the management challenges, organiz ation structures, accounting, finance, marketing, ethical, and critical thinking skills required to analyze the organization and make decisions as Engineering Managers in the New Millennium.
