Catalog description

This course will provide a study of the anatomy and physiology of the cardiovascular system. The course will cover topics such as: location of the heart, pericardium, heart wall, cavities of the heart, heart valves, blood supply, conduction system, flow th rough the heart and physiology of the cardiac cycle. In addition, we will discuss the anatomy and physiology of arterial and venous system. During the course, students will be able to identify each of the anatomical structures of the cardiovascular system and their respective functions as a basis to perform vascular studies. Applying this knowledge in the discussion of clinical cases. This course meets 45 hours of theory per semester.
