POWER SYSTEM DYNAMICS AND CONTROL

Catalog description

Three credit-hours. Three hours of lecture per week. This course covers the dynamic processes in power systems including regulation of turbines, voltage control, system stability, and protection of transmission lines. Students will use computer tools and their analytical skills to analyze a nd predict the dynamic behavior of power systems under the different control actions that occur in the typical operation of such systems.
