Catalog description

Study of the anatomy of the tooth and its tissues. The structure of the teeth is discussed in relation to their functional alignment with the dental arches in both dentitions: deciduous and permanent. In the area of histology, the development of the skull, the tooth and its adjacent tissues, and the process of tooth eruption are studied. Emphasis is placed on the development of knowledge and competencies of critical thinking and information skills that allow the student to know the anatomy of the tooth, its development, and its tissues in order to be able to apply them correctly in the preventive and restorative tasks when executing their functions as a dental assistant with expanded functions. These competencies are d eveloped through the discussion of problems, analysis of cases, and the search and management of related information.
