Catalog description
The organization and architecture of computers are studied in this course from the point of view of their structure (the way in which the components are interrelated) and function the operation of each individual component as part of the structure). Includ es a brief history of computers, the CPU, memories, input/output, operating system, and modern-day processors and microprocessors. An introduction to an assembler is included as part of the laboratory experience in the study of microcomputer.
