This course emphasizes the fundamental concepts of the chemistry of life, human anatomy and physiology and genetics. The topics covered include cellular structure and function, macromolecules, tissues, organ systems (circulatory, respiratory, excretory, digestive, endocrine, reproductive, nervous), basic genetics, Mendelian inheritance, chromosomal abnormalities, and the application of genetic principles to human health.
