Principles of Electrocardiography

Catalog description

Principles of electrocardiography, including equipment operation, recording and troubleshooting, as well as fundamental principles of the cardiovascular physiology and basic ECG interpretation. Students will also gain knowledge and skills to provide CPR for victims of all ages and will practice CPR in a team setting. Students will receive an American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider card upon successful completion of skills. One classroom, three lab hours per week. A simulated clinical rotation will be completed during the course.
