Wilderness Journey

Catalog description

This course is designed to be an introductory field experience for students interested in an outdoor-related career. The class will be formatted as a field-based "Wilderness Odyssey" which may include backpacking, canoeing, kayaking, rock climbing, orienteering, and/or a solo experience. Through these activities students are provided with opportunities to cultivate a sense of self-awareness, interdependence, and an appreciation for the environment. Offered in the month of May.
