Catalog description
An introduction to the history, philosophy and education theory of outdoor leadership. Special attention is given to the competencies required for an outdoor leader including: decision-making and judgment; teaching and facilitating groups; environmental stewardship; program management; and others. Students are exposed to many occupational expressions of outdoor leadership, and assignments are oriented to help them discover their own particular interest, as a Christian, within this broad field.
