Catalog description

The course focus is principles of nursing leadership and management in the delivery of healthcare. A historical overview of leadership and management theories assists the student in understanding legal and ethical implications of the role of the professional nurse in regard to patient care, delegation, staffing, budgeting, communication and quality improvement. In the clinical environment, students will work in partnership with nurse leaders to apply concepts of leadership and management in the practice setting. (Prerequisites: NURS 4310, NURS 4320 and NURS 4330)
