Catalog description

The course focus is on basic nursing skills, a systematic approach to assess history, physical, mental status examination, and documentation of the findings for clients. Emphasis will be placed on distinguishing normal from abnormal and on various stages of wellness, health and disease. Principles of communication, cultural sensitivity and spirituality will be reviewed and utilized throughout this course. Application of skills represents the basis of health assessment and nursing care. Additional course fee. (Prerequisite: Admission into School of Nursing)
