Catalog description
This course is designed to provide students with the information and skills needed to help them leverage their undergraduate degree into career advancement, a new career or job, or admission to graduate school. Emphasis is given to: assessment of career or work interests and preferences; understanding personality traits; researching careers and fields of interest; developing and using effective job search skills; professional written communication skills including resume development and writing effective cover letters; use of technology and media in the job search and in professional work contexts; employing effective verbal communications; developing self-awareness and understanding the role of emotional intelligence; job interview preparation; exploring and applying for graduate school; work ethic and professional commitments and responsibilities. (This course is only available to ASPIRE students.)
