An introduction to the aesthetic, formal, and conceptual analysis of literature, to its significant terms, genres, and critical approaches, and to the role of literature and imagination in the Christian life. A field trip to the Oregon Shakespeare festival in Ashland, Oregon, is required. (Prerequisite: ENGL 1220)
