Introduction to Data Analytics and Visualization explores fundamental data analytics concepts across various domains, emphasizing AI applications and visualization techniques. Students learn to differentiate between statistical analysis, data mining, data intelligence, and data science, understanding their appropriate applications. The course provides hands-on experience with industry-standard tools and programming languages such as Python, R, SQL, Tableau, and Power BI and an introduction to machine learning libraries. By the end, students can apply data analytics concepts to real-world problems, choose suitable analytical approaches, utilize AI-driven techniques, create effective visualizations, and employ various tools for analytics tasks. (Prerequisites: BUSS 1910, BUSS 2610 Statistics, & MATH 2830).
