Units: 0.5 Hours: 13 (7 lecture, 6 laboratory) Field study that introduces local natural areas and their inhabitants. Selected ecosystems in Nevada County are investigated in the field to identify and study the characteristic plants and animals and discover their relationships with the physical environment. This class may require the ability to hike moderate distances on uneven ground. (CSU)
