Special Fields of Social Work: Behavioral Health

Catalog description

Extends and elaborates the generalist approach to social work practice to a specific field of practice. The special field is studied through the examination of curricular areas: human behavior, practice, policy and services, research and special populations. Special field courses include, but are not limited to: Behavioral Health (SWK347), Substance Abuse ( SOWK 348 ), Aging ( SOWK 351 ), Developmental Disabilities ( SOWK 356 ), Health Care ( SOWK 357 ), and Violence in Interpersonal Relationships ( SOWK 359 ).
