Catalog description

This foundation course gives a broad overview of the field of gerontology. Gerontology is interdisciplinary in nature. Theories and unique problems in studying gerontology are addressed. The course covers demographic, social, psychological, biological, and economic aspects of aging. Policy issues and social service delivery issues are covered as they pertain to the aging population.
