Catalog description

Introduces student to a geographical approach in the analysis of problems regarding environmental health. Dynamic interaction between the total person and the total environment (physical, biological, cultural, economic) lie at the core of geography, a discipline that integrates natural and social sciences. Consideration of such interactions is essential for an understanding of the changes that occur in the distribution of health and disease, when, for instance the environment is altered, or human lifestyles undergo substantial modification. Graduate Credit: This course is not available for graduate credit.
