Catalog description
A writing-intensive foundational study of ethnicity in literature and minoritized authors. Specific topic will vary by instructor. Students will be introduced to the United States’ diverse literary heritage and equally diverse culture, including African American, American Jewish, Arab American, Asian American and Pacific Islander, Latinx, and Indigenous communities. Throughout the semester, students will frequently engage in the practice of critical reading and writing about literature.
