Basic tools of economics are introduced to analyze the behavior of consumers, hospitals, insurers, and health care professionals. Topics covered include the demand and supply of health care, health insurance, pharmaceutical industry, quality of care, access to care, competition, reform proposals, and government programs and regulation.
