Catalog description
This course offers immersive practice in editing and revision for professional, technical, creative and journalistic fields. Students will employ a variety of text-based editing and revision techniques; learn basic principles of visual editing and document design; and review criticism on style, craft and drafting processes. This course will contain a service-learning component—students will partner with clients (e.g., on-campus offices/departments, or off-campus businesses, organizations and writing communities) to provide an array of editing and revision services to help realize communication and other writing-based goals.
