Numerical Analysis

Catalog description

An introduction to numerical solutions to problems. Topics include solution of equations, interpolation and approximation of polynomials, numerical differentiation and integration, summation of series, and use of orthogonal polynomials. Assignments using a computer and mathematical software packages are important components of this course.
