Catalog description

This course provides a rigorous introduction to probability and statistics including Kolmogorov’s axioms, discrete and continuous random variables, expectation, limit theorems, point estimates of parameters, confidence intervals, hypothesis tests on means and variances, data visualization, analysis of real-world data sets and use of statistical software. Additional topics such as Bayesian methods, multiple linear regression, ANOVA, time series analysis and moment generating functions may be included.
