Catalog description

This course is designed to serve as an introduction to computer programming in the business environment with a view toward the understanding and learning of the fundamentals of software development. The course is an information systems approach to object oriented programming. The course is also designed to develop a basic and generic foundation in object oriented programming. The course content will include creating simple applications, storing and manipulating data in objects, and changing the program flow with decision. Other areas to be covered will include program loops, encapsulation, arrays and collections, user interface objects, database connectivity and inheritance and polymorphism.
