Catalog description

(same as PH 350 ) This course studies how the multidimensional roles of American woman as individuals, partners, mothers, caretakers and career persons create a need for their health status to be of vital importance. While women and men both experience similar diseases, disorders and causes of death, women often experience these in different forms and at different stages and ages in life. Students will be provided the opportunity to explore the health issues and healthcare concerns of women by identifying a broad range of health topics that are unique to women or of special importance to women.
