Documentary Filmmaking

Catalog description

This course introduces students to documentary filmmaking and non-fiction storytelling. Students learn theoretical and technical techniques associated with the medium, and produce a short documentary throughout the course of the semester. This course covers the story pitch, treatment, pre-production planning, hands on production and post-production editing.
