Catalog description

This course is designed to explore how individuals experience and cope with acute injury, illness and chronic disease. Students will learn how to assess for psychological contributions to and consequences of injury, and compare and contrast various interventions and skills for rehabilitation and return to play following injury or illness. Additionally, the course will focus on exercise and sport participation as they relate to stress, immune function and overall experience of health and chronic disease.
