Applied Conservation Ecology

Catalog description

This course integrates ecological theory into resource management, economics, sociology, business, ethics and law to explore conservation strategies using a model-based approach to value ecosystem services, evidence-based management and the challenges of decision making under conflicting interests. Conservation ecology is inherently interdisciplinary, and this means that each student’s perspective is integral as we build a comprehensive understanding of this complex discipline.
