Catalog description

An introduction to the theories and applications of geographic information systems (GIS). Emphasis is placed on geographic information acquisition, manipulation and mapping. An integrated system of lectures and hands-on exercises will be used to gain practical experiences in GIS analysis and visualization. A basic knowledge and use of computers is assumed.
