Catalog description

This course introduces specific major historical developments that shaped Chicana/o experiences and the ways in which Chicana/o literary discourses articulate those experiences. Students analyze issues of ethnicity, gender, race and sexual orientation in order to gain insight into the role of Chicana/o literature in the United States’ multicultural literary canon.
