Catalog description

This course examines the work of perhaps the most influential playwright in the English language. Preliminary work consists of orientation to modern English, the language of Shakespeare, and to Elizabethan history, thought and culture. Most importantly, this course involves the study of plays representing the range of Shakespeare’s dramatic works.
