Catalog description

This off-site intensive course explores the rich cultural tapestry of Belize through an anthropological, historical and global lens. Students will learn the history of human migrations that have shaped the country’s diverse population while analyzing the factors that drove various diasporas to Belize. Students will examine how these distinct cultural identities have survived and thrived to build a national identity. Students gain hands-on, real-world problem-solving experience within the local Belizean communities.
