Catalog description
This course is intended for students not majoring in the natural sciences. It provides an introduction to the chemistry of everyday life with a focus on its relation to societal issues. Topics may include the atmosphere, water, nuclear and solar energy, plastics, drugs, cosmetics, and nutrition. Three lecture hours plus two laboratory hours per week.
