Catalog description

This course explores the anatomy and physiology of the human endocrine system. The regulation, synthesis and degradation of major hormones will be discussed. Interactions of hormones with their receptors and target cell responses will be covered in detail. Dysfunction of the endocrine system and resulting disorders will also be addressed. BIO 231 and BIO 232 are recommended, but not required for success in the course.
