Catalog description

is the study of the interrelationships between organisms and their physical and biological environments. The course will examine the various levels of ecology - populations, species, communities, and ecosystems - in lecture-discussions, laboratory studies and field investigations. Ecological concepts will be considered from various perspectives including theoretical predictions, laboratory experiments, observations, field measurements and resource management applications. Three lecture hours plus three laboratory hours per week.
